Volunteer Information

Our volunteers are the best, they work hard, receive great benefits in the form of seeing the items when they are brought in by the sellers and  best of all—our volunteers get to shop first to get the best selection!!

Volunteers that work at least 4 hours are refunded half of their registration fee and the volunteers that work 8 hours are refunded their full registration fee. 

Volunteers that work longer than 8 hours during sale time (set-up, drop-off, sale, sorting, loading) get to shop the earliest of all!

Who can volunteer?

Moms, Dads, Grandmas, Grandpas, Nanas, Papas, Teens  All we ask is that you be willing to work!

If you don’t have time to volunteer, but still want the benefits of being a volunteer, you can send your significant other to work for you. If you work a 4 hour shift together, you still get the 8 hour credit and will receive the full refund of your registration fee.

If you have pre-teens/teens that need something to do and can follow directions/orders, I welcome them to come volunteer with you during your shift.  Some of my best volunteers have been younger than 18 and come back time after time to volunteer with us because they have so much fun (& because I'm pretty good at writing reference letters for community service)!

VOLUNTEER GUIDELINES 

Please check your schedule before signing up for a shift. We have several shifts available – consider trading babysitting with a friend. You watch her kids during her volunteer shift and she can watch during your volunteer shift. Then you can go shopping together!

 The job duties will vary based on the number of volunteers and what stage of the sale we are in on the day you volunteer. Please plan to work for at least 2 hours– shifts can be on the same day or on different day. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your shift starts so we can get you signed in and give you your instructions.

 Please do not bring young children to your scheduled shift.

If you need to reschedule before the drop-off for the sale has started, you can remove yourself online and reschedule for another shift.

 * If you need to cancel or reschedule your shift after the sale has started, you must CALL us at 740-434-3554 within 24 hours of your shift. If you do not call, you will not be allowed to register as a volunteer for the next sale.

Please, please do not sign up for a shift unless you are sure you can make it! The success of this sale depends on our volunteers!
